well, i was surfing the internet tonight, and ran across this fine article by mark bredin. NBBI will always have a special place in my heart. i attended NBBI from 1964 to 1967, and was privileged to sit under the tremendous ministry of mark bredin, ken robins, and bob dowie. i have often thought, as i have driven to conferences, that to many people, NBBI is pretty unfamiliar: driving up that old back road from woodstock, NB, there doesn't seem to be very much to take note of...just hills, long stretches of woods, and farms. to those of us who have attended NBBI though, it is one of "God's Special Places" in the world! only eternity will reveal the souls saved around the world through the ministry from students from this wonderful school! i hope and pray that it continues 'till Jesus comes, and we're all gathered Home! thanks so much for sharing, folks! i'll bookmark this page for sure!

“We must reaffirm our historic purpose. God has raised up a distinctive kind of school to meet the spiritual needs around the world. Each institution must carefully examine why it came into being. Bible schools dare not change their mission. The future belongs to those who know who they are and why they exist.”

“We must sharpen our focus. With limited resources they must learn to do a few things well. Broadening the program to attract students is often self-defeating. In the process, distinctions are blurred and quality diluted. Successful Bible schools must specialize. They must know who and what their students are. Historically, Bible schools have given ordinary people a chance to learn the Word of God and become servants of Christ.”

Very insightful words.

Wow! What a blessing to read. I am so privileged to count myself a part of such a wonderful school, so blessed of God. I pray that it will go on for years to come.
