I travelled this past weekend with our music director, Matthieu Larabie to East Wilton, Maine for a missions conference at East Wilton Union Church. Pastor Steve Park and his wife Colleen are doing a good job leading this congregation and pointing them toward evangelism and missions. God’s people were blessed with Matthieu’s music ministry, testimony and presentation of New Brunswick Bible Institute. I spoke on the three lost things found in Luke 15:1-32… a lost sheep, lost silver and the lost son. We were excited to know that one man came to know Christ as his Saviour and the hearts of others were spoken to. We met Marco and Jenni and their two children who are on their way to Mexico with BMW. Jenni is from the East Wilton Church and Marco is a native of Mexico. What a blessing to hear of their vision to start a church in Mexico and reach people for Christ. Someone gave this young couple $2000 towards the purchase of a vehicle to use while they are on deputation – what an amazing gift. It is so good to see God raise up a new generation of servants for our Lord Jesus Christ.
Saturday morning was spent on a mission work project at Blueberry Mountain Bible Camp where Bob and Donna Sloma and their family have been faithfully serving the Lord. What a beautiful location, situated near the top of Blueberry Mountain in Weld, Maine at Mount Blue State Park. The lake was beautiful and the various mountains surrounding the lake were gorgeous in the fall colours of red, yellow, orange and gold. We met a middle-aged couple there from New Jersey who are considering moving to Maine and being part of the camping ministry at Blueberry Mountain. God is calling people to set out in full-time Christian service. This was also a great weekend to present the ministry of New Brunswick Bible Institute to those we have had fellowship with in times past as well as meeting new folks for the first time.
Back here at NBBI, our students have finished the first module of study and have written their first set of exams and are soon to begin their next set of studies.
God is good and we thank Him for His great faithfulness to us and His mercies which are new every morning.
