I was honoured to be invited to speak at a father-son retreat held at Rumney Bible Conference in Rumney, NH from October 29-31. Approximately 40-50 attendees and workers were involved in the program. It was a great time of sharing and challenging fathers to be soldiers of Christ and to train their sons to serve in the Lord’s army. It seems that God was speaking to many hearts through the power of His Holy Spirit.
This is a great Bible conference ministry that has been carried on for many years. One of the key leaders of Rumney Bible Conference, Evangelist Tal McNutt, recently passed away. His funeral service was held there on the camp grounds on that same Saturday. Tal had a tremendous impact not only in the United States and Canada but around the world. He has been a very special blessing, a number of times, here on our NBBI campus. We pray that God will give strength and encouragement to his wife and family as they wait to meet him in glory.
A number of our students were able to serve at the Word of Life Super Bowl, October 29th in Moncton, NB. I believe God used them in a special way along with the Word of Life team. One of our freshmen students was telling me today that he was able to lead 6 teenagers to Christ. I understand that a number of others confessed the Lord as Saviour as well. We appreciate the ministry of Barry Speck, one of our grads working with Word of Life and the impact he has had on the Maritimes. We are also excited about Dave and Jocelyn Drabuik who have recently been accepted with Word of Life and are raising their support to serve in the Maritimes.
Our NBBI Board of Directors was recently on campus for a regular meeting. We thank the Lord for each of these 14 men and their families who faithfully guide, lead and pray for the ministry of NBBI. We appreciate their commitment, support and vision for God to use this ministry in years to come.
