Campus News – Men for God Report

MFG 2012 Keynote speaker Gary Stairs

“The long haul is still in front of us and God’s intent is that we finish well!”  – Gary Stairs, 2012 Men for God Conference.

This was the challenge that was given to the nearly three hundred and fifty men who gathered at the recent Men for God Conference, which was held on January 27-28, 2012 here on the campus of New Brunswick Bible Institute.

The conference this year was built upon the theme of “Long-haul Men” and featured testimonies from a few of those who have spent time in the transportation industry. The conference also included Bible sessions from our keynote speaker, Gary Stairs from Word of Life Canada. It was during these times that the men were exhorted to be in the Christian life for the long haul. Together, we shared a lot of laughs and even a few tears as the Lord really moved in hearts.

Throughout the weekend the High Meadow Quartet from Perham, Maine, along with our own NBBI student praise team, led the way with inspirational music. One guest remarked, “There is nothing like hearing hundreds of men singing in unison to God.”

Through the use of internet technology, we were also able to webcast the main sessions for those who could not join us on campus. One pastor wrote:

“Thank you for streaming this event! It was much appreciated.”

Another man shared:

“Thanks again for the services of the men’s conference on the computer. It is good for those of us who are limited by age in our travel.”

At the close of our last session an invitation was given and many men came forward to publicly declare that they wanted to be “long-haul men” who are willing to live for Christ. It is our prayer that these same bold men will go back and reach others in their families, churches and communities.

If you attended the Men for God Conference, we would love to hear from you. You can fill out an online survey by visiting:
