On December 29, 2011, John and I, Ena M. (Jennex ’54) entered into an entirely new phase of our lives. We are now living at Sherbrooke Heights, a lovely retirement home in Peterborough, Ontario. On our first night here, in our devotional time together, we read Habakkuk 3:19, “He will make me to walk upon mine HIGH places.” We are residing on the third (top) floor!
We look upon this as a new mission field – men and women in their senior years, needing the Lord. It is likely the majority of folks here are unsaved. The Lord is giving us opportunities. Sunday evenings after supper we are engaged in “Hymn Sing with Ena.” Already some have bonded with us, sharing their needs as they sometimes live in difficult situations.
Pray for us, that we will be effective servants of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
