“By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name” [Heb.13:15]
As seen throughout the Old Testament Scriptures, sacrifices were extremely important under the old covenant. Under the new covenant, according to the book of Hebrews, God desires the praise and thanksgiving of His people rather than offerings of animals or grain. One avenue of offering praise and thanksgiving to our Lord and Saviour is through the gift of music. NBBI has long recognized this wonderful privilege of song, and sought to incorporate it, not only into the lives of our students on campus, but also to many abroad, through the ministry of our outreach teams.
It has been my privilege this year to work with our two newest music groups, “Legacy,” and, “Not Home Yet,” as they seek to exalt Christ through worship in song. Both “Legacy” and “Not Home Yet” are comprised of male and female vocalists, and provide a rich blend of harmony though traditional hymns, as well as newer praise and worship choruses. NBBI’s music groups are available to travel to bookings throughout the school year. Should you be interested in having one of our groups minister in your area, please feel free to contact us at your convenience.
