Warning Land Mines Ahead!

Land mines are one of the most dangerous weapons in the world. Long after military conflicts end, these devastating devices lurk beneath the surface ready to wreak havoc on unsuspecting victims. Land mines are currently scattered across 78 countries and have killed or maimed over one million people. Approximately 26,000 people a year, 70 people a day or 1 person every fifteen minutes step on a land mine. It is estimated that there are 110 million active land mines worldwide.
