President Matthew Little teaching Theology I “Live” to our Freshmen class as part of the new online platform developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our faculty are using this method to continue teaching our students at home.

March 25 update:

Dear Supporter:

Psalms 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

As I reflected upon that verse, I was drawn to the word “present”. Often we think of God’s help as something distant or just out of our reach. What a tragedy when we buy into the lie of Satan that God is a helper potentially for another day but just not today? The current situation that our world faces needs a God that is “present” and that is exactly what He is.

This last week has brought many changes to our world, many changes to your life, and many changes to the ministry of NBBI. We sent our students home on March break never thinking they would not be coming back to our campus. We miss having our students with us and we are frustrated, like you, about the present coronavirus pandemic. Our first priority, as a school, is to keep our students and staff safe. Given the continued escalation of the coronavirus and in keeping with the recommendations from health officials, we feel it is best to keep our students away from the campus and move our educational training to a platform more conducive to the current crisis. We have implemented an online educational platform that will involve both prerecorded and live classes. These classes are set to begin on March 23, 2020. We are working hard at putting this in place and would covet your prayers as we seek to implement it.

As of this letter, our Spring Conference and Graduation are still in place but if this continues to escalate, they may also be postponed. If you have the ability to go online, we encourage you to get up to date information from us on our website at nbbi.ca.

We would also ask you to pray for the financial needs of the school. Now that students have left the campus, we have a huge financial vacuum that has taken place. Students are a major part of our revenue and this has suddenly dried up. We are confident God will meet our needs and we ask you to pray for us. As a private Christian school, the financial blow of the current crisis has been fast and hard but we realize that God is still in control.

Thank you for the many ways that you have blessed this ministry through your prayers, support and encouragement. In these days to come, we will need God’s people more than ever. We don’t know what tomorrow holds but we know Who holds tomorrow. Thank you for standing with us.

Yours to count on,

Matthew Little

President
