Assembly of Believers seeking to serve their Savior
August 31, 2015
Simcoe Gospel Chapel is currently searching for an additional Pastor to join our staff. While working alongside our current Pastor he will report directly to the Elder’s board and focus his attention on developing relationships with our young families and youth. His ministry will also involve reaching into our surrounding communities to grow our current member base. Having a heart to reach our community is an integral part of our mission statement and will be a key component in this Pastoral role.
The successful candidate will likely be married with a family of his own, and must have some previous Pastoral experience. Preaching and teaching will be a vital part of his responsibility with a 50% share in the pulpit on Sunday mornings as his ability and role develops.
As a part of our pastoral team, the successful candidate will work closely with our existing staff and volunteers to develop ministry, initiate Bible study, assist with the preaching calendar and be involved in the day to day operations of a vibrant and growing assembly. By accomplishing the above, he will aid in developing the maturity of believers, and help others to see their need for the Saviour.
As an Elder-led assembly, monthly meetings are the formal time for reporting, however, it would be expected that communication with the Elders and other Pastoral staff would occur on a regular basis, and at any time as required.
Other duties will include in-home visitation of assembly members, along with developing additional contacts from various ministry opportunities. Participation in other Chapel ministries such as youth events, AWANA, day camp, men’s outreach and others, will be encouraged along with attendance at Chapel events such as monthly luncheons.
