“I received such a fresh touch from the Lord…” This was just one of many comments that was the result of 244 ladies who gathered together on our campus for our annual Ladies’ Retreat.
The Lord used our guest speaker, Judy Gower, as a precious reminder of His mercies (Lamentations 3:22-23). Through her real and down to earth way of communicating, she invited us to laugh, cry, hurt and rejoice with her in our Lord’s goodness to her as she shared her life’s story with us.
Our hearts continued to be touched and challenged through the testimony shared by Rachel Sparkes who encouraged us to remove the masks that we often wear and let the Lord and His people come alongside to help us heal and grow. Natalie Holmes, an ABM student here on campus this year, shared how the Lord is using her studies and her time discipling our young ladies to increase her own learning and strengthen her walk with the Lord.
The “Geary Girls” helped prepare our hearts through their wonderful selection of music sung with beautiful harmony.
A special thank you needs to go to our male staff and students as they served so wonderfully in so many ways throughout the retreat! From taking our guests luggage to the dorms to serving during breakfast, lunch and snacks and cheerfully taking over our female students’ responsibilities so that our gals could relax and enjoy the retreat, each gentleman was a huge blessing!
We would love to invite you all to join us on October 18-19, 2013 for our next Ladies’ Retreat! Jennifer Sands, who became a widow on 9/11, will be sharing how she found hope again in her Saviour, Jesus Christ. You won’t want to miss it, so, plan on joining us for Freedom Through Forgiveness ~ Ladies’ Retreat 2013!
